WONDERY Delivers 11x1.5x2.0m Natural Gas Linear Environmentally Friendly HDG Line

WONDERY Delivers 11x1.5x2.0m Natural Gas Linear Environmentally Friendly HDG Line

2026-04-13

Project Background and Core Process Requirements

WONDERY recently delivered a custom Natural Gas Linear Environmentally Friendly Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG) Production Line. The centerpiece is a massive zinc pot (11m x 1.5m x 2.0m) with a capacity of 200 tons of molten zinc. As a large-scale steel structure manufacturer, the client demanded high capacity utilization, optimized energy costs per ton, and strict environmental compliance, particularly regarding gas consumption under full-load production.

Technical Solutions and Parameterized Evidence

1. High-Efficiency Pulse Heating System and Energy Performance

To manage the immense thermal inertia of 200 tons of zinc, WONDERY implemented a high-precision gas heating system:

  • Burner Configuration: Equipped with 4 sets of high-speed pulse high-low control burners (Model: TJ200), with an instantaneous maximum gas consumption of 240 m³/h.

  • Efficiency Data: Through a slightly positive pressure combustion mode, the average gas consumption at full-load production is approximately 12.5 m³ per ton of steel.

  • Dual Redundancy: Features a dual-main intake control system (one in use, one on standby) to ensure uninterrupted production during gas supply fluctuations or maintenance.

2. Patented Waste Heat Recovery and Thermal Cascading

Addressing the high exhaust heat loss common in the HDG industry, WONDERY integrated advanced recovery technology:

  • Heat Exchange System: A patented flue gas waste heat exchanger is installed to preheat the combustion air to 50-150 ℃.

  • Process Optimization: Preheated combustion air significantly enhances furnace thermal efficiency, reducing gas consumption while shortening the melting and ramp-up cycles.

3. Structural Integrity and Zinc Pot Longevity

  • Material Specifications: The zinc pot is welded from 60mm thick specialized XG08 low-carbon, low-silicon steel plates, specifically engineered to withstand the pressure of 200 tons of molten zinc.

  • Temperature Precision: Multi-point thermocouples integrated with an automated control cabinet ensure zinc temperature is maintained within a narrow range, preventing localized overheating and "pitting corrosion," thereby extending the pot's service life.

4. Environmental and Automation Layout

  • Linear Design: The straight-line production layout optimizes the transfer of workpieces from pickling and fluxing to dipping and cooling, achieving a maximum capacity of 8 tons per hour.

  • Linked Control: All control cabinets are interlinked to provide centralized automated control of gas flow, fans, hoisting mechanisms, and temperature monitoring.

Delivery Specifications and Key Parameters

  • Zinc Pot Dimensions: 11 (L) x 1.5 (W) x 2.0 (H) m.

  • Energy Source: Natural gas (Calorific value: 8400–8600 kcal/m³).

  • Control Mode: Automatic + Manual high-low flame switching.

  • Compliance: Designed for integration with waste gas treatment systems, meeting modern green industrial production standards.
